Nevins Sanctuary
The entrance to the Nevins Bird Sanctuary lies behind the Police Station off Hampshire Street. The paths tend to get overgrown very quickly from disuse. It is a very nice spot to watch Great Blue Herons, Pileated Woodpeckers, Canadian Warblers, Red Wing Blackbirds and many other native species. The Rail Trail will allow continual access to this neglected Methuen treasure.
