Walk the trail Monday 9/15
Several people will be meeting at the end of Pine St to walk the better section of the trail. This will take less than an hour to walk from that point through the Wildlife sanctuary and out under 213 to Hampshire St and back.
This is why we are doing this project folks, so we can have a nice convenient greenspace to walk or bike. If this time isn’t convenient for anyone else, then just holler and we can get together again on another date.
I am anxious to see what the trail will look like in all seasons. Since our section of rail bed is most like a country lane, it should be pretty spectacular when the leaves change.
It probably won’t be warm enough to mandate water, but i always bring some anyway. I advise thick soled shoes, the really messy parts of the trail are from the depot to Pine St, but after that it’s still bumpy and perhaps wet in spots. I would also advise taking a camera – sometimes there are herons out there.
